Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
1. Agreement
By downloading or using the SubForge app or subforge.ai (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. What SubForge does
SubForge helps you track subscriptions — entered manually, imported from screenshots processed on your device, or detected automatically through an optional, read-only bank connection powered by Plaid. It projects renewal dates, computes spending totals, and schedules reminder notifications on your device. SubForge cannot move money, cannot cancel subscriptions for you, and has no relationship with the services you track.
3. Accounts & guest mode
You may use SubForge without an account; in that case your data lives only on your device and is lost if the device or app data is removed. If you create an account, keep your credentials secure — you're responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 to use the Service.
4. SubForge Pro — subscriptions & billing
- Pro is offered as an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, billed through Apple's App Store or Google Play — never directly by us.
- Auto-renewing plans renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies.
- Prices may change; existing subscribers get advance notice per the app stores' rules. The lifetime purchase is a license for the current Pro feature set on supported platforms, for as long as SubForge is offered.
5. The important disclaimer
SubForge provides informational estimates. Renewal dates, totals, and suggested prices are projections from the data you enter or that automated detection (bank connection or screenshot import) surfaces; detection can miss charges or mis-read amounts, so review suggestions before relying on them. Actual charges are controlled by the third-party services you subscribe to. Reminders are delivered on a best-effort basis by your device's operating system. Do not rely on SubForge as your sole safeguard against unwanted charges — we are not responsible for fees, renewals, trial conversions, or price changes imposed by third parties, and nothing in the Service is financial advice.
6. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the Service: no reverse engineering (except where law permits), no interfering with its operation, no using it to violate any law, and no reselling it.
7. Your content & our IP
Subscription records you enter remain yours; you grant us the limited license needed to store and sync them for you. The SubForge app, name, design, and catalog are our intellectual property. Third-party service names in the catalog belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the services you choose to track; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
8. Termination
You can stop using SubForge and delete your account at any time (Settings → Danger zone). We may suspend or terminate access for abuse or violation of these Terms.
9. Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which SubForge's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
